In two weeks, I’ll be heading to a food-blogging conference in Birmingham, Alabama, to participate in an event called FoodBlogSouth. Heard of it? No? It’s a conference focused on food blogging and bloggers, and covers a wide range of topics, from how to take better photos using your cell phone’s camera to how to market and brand yourself. Folks such as food stylist Marian Cooper Cairns and photographer Jennifer Davick to cookbook author extraordinaire Virginia Willis and Kat Kinsman of CNN’s Eatocracy will be hosting a wide range of seminars. For anyone interested in learning more about food, blogging, marketing, and networking, it’s a great event to attend. Heck—the skills would be widely transferable even outside the realm of food!

So if you’re in the Birmingham area January 27-28, 2012—or need an excuse to be—register to take part in FoodBlogSouth. You’re guaranteed to meet some great people and learn something!
